- Scope and ContentSample of entries: 5 January: Dear little Jim 9 today. He had a quick happy birthday and enjoyed his presents but no letter from Willie to my disappointment. Sally and I and 4 children went to church and in afternoon I took Bessie, Jim, Marjory and Nancy [?] all on the downs and we had a lovely walk and were not in till nearly 5 o'clock. Monday 16 March: Exton not well and had to go to bed. I not very well and did not go out at all; quiet day busy with sewing. B & J had a littke walk by themselves. Had to give Edith Moore the new kitchen maid notice.
