- Scope and ContentDescribes examination papers. Has been up the river to Grantchester. Discusses arrangements for 'going down' (leaving the University), with regard to luggage etc. Considers what to do next 'I should like to live at home, but cannot get rid of the feeling....that it might be a mistake not to have a regular occupation.' There seem to be hardly any openings for women. Considers Continuation School teaching. 'I don't think sercetarial work leads to much, do you? What is your real opinion of secondary school teaching for girls? It seems to offer the only opening that we can make out. I cannot help thinking it is a narrow life, but perhaps that is prejudice. What would be nice would be to get some travelling post abroad, but I don't know if there are any such..... They know of nothing here but teaching. Women appear to be not wanted anywhere.'
