  • Scope and Content
Reports on post received from England. Writer has been very busy. '...the battery has reached the stage where we can move about the country on training.' Units of the Gwalior Army are only observing 25, 26 & 27th December as holidays, so writer gave up the idea of spending Christmas in Delhi, and decided on Agra as it is closer. The start of the journey was difficult as the roads were a jam of bullock carts, buffaloes, camels, cows, bullocks and people heading to the Mela at Gwalior, the big annual fair and exhibition. Near the end of the journey the front axle of the car broke. A makeshift repair is being carried out. Has been twice to church; the second time being a parade service.
