Thanks for parcel with tobacco and ink. Second letter: Has received mail from various relatives. Visited a local colliery and arranged for the men to have baths there two days a week. Describes the miners bathing accommodation; about 80 seperate cubicles each with a shower bath, enormous changing room, and some first rate ordinary baths for officers. Has to go into Mons to meet the brigade commander and attend a conference in connection with the Army Education Scheme. Bemoans lack of kit for rugby football match.
