Proposed return route. "Glad your Grace approves of the subject of the 2 pictures to be made by Giuseppe Chiari, which though it is known to everybody yet the representation of it will be new. The first will have more architecture and the 2nd more landscape; it will represent in the Lentano(?) a sea with ships setting sail. Dido will be seen expiring and her sister running towards her. The opposition of the passion in these two pieces will be a good subject for the painter to exercise his greatest skill, he is very well pleased with it and therefore I hope will succeed the better and that next week draft will be finished and price stated. Wine. "Yesterday an answer from the King of Sicily's architect ... he hath so much business for his Majesty who is building a church and his palace of the Ven... that he had not time to make the draft that he will do it speedily".
