    whereas: ii) is entitled in fee simple to messuages and lands in Bedfordshire hereinafter described, also -to a messuage in Threadneedle Street in parish of St Martin Outwich in City of London, formerly in occupation of Philip Nichols, now of Amos Stocker -to 1/3 part of the Inn called the King's Head in St Saviour, Southwark, Surrey, subject to 1/3 of annuity of £45 to Mariabella Briggins, widow (grandmother of said Hannahbella Barber) for life -to 1/12 of sundry messuages in the City of London and county of Middlesex subject to 1/12 of annuity of £45 payable to said Mariabella Briggins for life Now: i) is to receive portion of £1,500 with ii) ii) conveys to iii) -messuage in How End in Houghton Conquest formerly in occupation of Edward Stringer and now in occupation of Richard Valentine -4 closes and 3 pightles of pasture adjoining said messuage, 16 acres -29 acres 1 rood arable and ley and 3 half-acres meadow in open fields of How End and Houghton Conquest, formerly in occupation of Edward Stringer and now in occupation of said Richard Valentine, described in deeds by which Joseph Barber, grandfather of ii) purchased the same -messuage in How End with pightles of pasture adjoining, 3 acres formerly in occupation of John Windmill and now of Edward Child -cottage sometimes called Masons with orchard and pightle of pasture nearby containing 1 acre formerly in occupation of George Child and now in occupation of Joseph Candell -cottage with appurtenances in Houghton sometimes called Herveys with orchard and Hervey's Pond adjoining formerly in occupation of George Gilham and now in occupation of John Baxter -several parcels of arable and meadow in fields of Houghton Conquest containing 10 acres described in deeds by which Joseph Barber father of ii) purchased the same [RO29/6-7] to iii) for 999 years on trusts ... 27 Feb 1750/1 Extract examined by William Emberton and Robert Swindall, clerks to Mr Davis 8 April 1774 Endorsement: Mr Brown
