    Mary has toothache. Is not surprised at opinion of Mastrick, he has built v. good threshing-machines. Discusses the water supply at Southill. [Charles James] Fox seems eager about politics & Lauderdale confirms. He thinks he will live in London, hopes it is result of sound deliberation & not to please Mrs. Fox. Doubts support of ministers does good to cause of peace. Advantage is taken of it to renew the old war controversy. Wheat looks well. Is glad sister improves. Sends regards to Mrs. Wilmot.
