- Scope and ContentGrant , amongst other things, of: -lordship and manor of Howend in Houghton alias Houghton Conquest, formerly of the late monastery of Rendinge [sic] and afterwards annexed to the Honour of Ampthill -tenement and 1½ virgates of arable with appurtenances called Bertes alias Berdes -cottage called Carters, part of aforesaid manor -tenement called Haynes, also part of aforesaid manor -20 acres arable in Houghton Conquest, part of aforesaid manor of Howend which premises were granted by Letters Patent 13 July 26 Elizabeth [1584] to Margaret Wheler, John Robinson and William Robinson for their lives and the life of the survivor of them at rent of 30s per annum -3 tenements. part of aforesaid manor, called Sheppardes, Bilcokes and Garnettes alias Garneis in Houghton Conquest -cottage called Burdes alias Byndes in Houghton Conquest -24 acres arable, 2 acres meadow and one pasture called Westey alias Westley -one small close 3 acres called Burysted -all those lands called Farmelands with appurtenances in Houghton Conquest now or late in occupation of William Hale which premises were granted by Letters Patent 22 March 6 Elizabeth [1564] to Ralph Symondes alias Wilkins for 21 years, from 12 May 1572 and afterwards by other Letters Patent of 4 April 15 Elizabeth [1573] granted to Thomas Swanne for 21 years from 12 May 1593 for rent of 60s..7d per annum -parcel of land within the precincts late of monastery called the Mynnorisse [Minorites] without Algate [Aldgate] in London to Francis Walsingham and Francis Milles, their heirs and assigns for ever as of the manor of Eastgrenewich, Kent, in free and common socage and not in chief or by military service paying £9..13..7 per annum by the Queen at Greenwich Endorsement: Mr Denbigh
