    Whereas: i) and ii) purchased at equal charges of Edmond Downing and William Swayne -premises as in Letters Patent 21 April 1587 [see RO2/1 and RO10/1] [ 1½ virgates here given as 1 yardland and ½, also Garnets alias Garners) at the time of purchase it was agreed between i) and ii) that the said manor should be conveyed to Arthur Hewet and his heirs on trust that Robert Hewet the uncle should for life enjoy the profits of the said manor. Whereas: said Robert Hewet the uncle is dead and the conveyance was made to Arthur Hewet and heirs by RO2/2 Now: i) in performance of trust and that ii) may occupy premises, conveys to ii) -manor and premises aforesaid i) appoints Sir Richard Conquest of Houghton Conquest his attorney Witnesses: Jo. Stone, Nicholas Colquite, Thomas Hale, Arthur Hewet junior Seal: (Arthur Hewet) diameter 1´´ on red wax legend: SEA[L] AR]THUR + HEWIT. device: AH and a merchant's mark Endorsed: Livery of Seisin by Sir Richard Conquest on 5 November 3 James I [1605] of the messuage in occupation of John Burwell in the name of all the lands and tenements in his name; of the messuage in occupation of John Robinson in the name of all the lands and tenements belonging and of the messuage in occupation of John Parrell and a messuage in occupation of David Edwardes and the ground belonging and a pasture called Westy; also of tenement in occupation of William Adlye Witnesses: Francis Clerke, John Winton, William Burwell, John Robinson, Edward Fyssh, Richard Conquest Endorsement: no.(3) (3) Endorsement: this deed ... is supposed to belong to Francis Stanton, clerk
