    i) Honourable William Ashburnham of City of Westminster esquire, cofferer of His Majesty’s household Sir Denny Ashburnham of Broomeham, Sussex, baronet John Lawrence of Westminster, aforesaid, esquire, executor of John Ashburnham late of Ashburnham, Sussex esquire, deceased ii) John Ashburnham of Ashburnham aforesaid, esquire, grandson of said John Ashburnham deceased Recites: 15 July 13 Charles II [1661] (see RO1/1) Recites: 4 January 13 Charles II [1662] Assignment (mortgage) (i) John Ashburnham, the grandfather (ii) William Ashburnham consideration: £3,000 -said parks for residue of term of 40 years. repayment: £3,180 whereas: repayment was not made Recites: 18 July 18 Charles II [1666] (see RO1/1) Recites: will of John Ashburnham the grandfather 13 February 1670/71 said parks to be sold by executors for payment of debts and legacies. If grandson should marry before 24 with approval of executors, to enjoy all estate of John Ashburnham the grandfather; made i) executors. Died June 1671 whereas: ii) is with approval of i) to marry Bridget Vaughan, only daughter of Walter Vaughan esquire, deceased. now: i) assign to ii) -all the aforesaid parks and premises for residue of term of 40 years and then for second term of 40 years. free from incumbrances except: Lease for Years,16 Mar 1674/5 i. said William Ashburnham ii.
