Message reads 'D & I go home tomorrow by the 9.40 from here - getting to Derby 12.55. I have run short of stamps so can only send this - but will write again from home. Do hope the eggs travelled safely dont let them interfere with duties. We have heard lots of nightingales here in the evenings. Mother.'
