    View of "Colworth Lodges", looking northwest from the junction of Lodge Road, Yelnow Lane and Colworth Road. The lodges, built in 1811 by John Wing of Bedford, are connected by a formal arch making a tall rounded entrance archway. On the top of the arch is a cherub reclining on a scroll. Published by Blake & Edgar, Picturesque Bedfordshire Series.

    Postmarked 12.15pm message reads " June 11. Hope to arrive 12.55. we come by Kettering - the train in from here to Bedford was 35 minutes late yest'y Many thanks for yrs I hope Monday is all right. I thought there would have been letters re carriages but have not heard. Thank May for parcel. It is wet here but may clear.
