The disgraceful conduct of Captain Haviland. The case of Colington - his measures to deal with it. Very mutinous conduct. A regimental court martial would be preferential to a general one. Sympathy of the regiment and the townspeople is with the accused. Fear of mutiny expressed. Regiment informed that the only way to mitigate Colington's sentence was by their own good conduct.
