Thomas Creevey to Samuel Whitbread II.
  • Date free text
    8 April 1809
  • Production date
    From: 1809 To: 1809
  • Scope and Content
Lord Percy & Thomas Clarkson have been getting up a string of resolutions for the Whig Club. Thinks it an effort to put the Whig leaders on their legs again and gives warning against it. Would not advise breaking with old political connections, but as SW has acted differently to the leaders of the party, and the country thinks he is right, should not ruin himself over the resolutions of the Whig Club. R[obert] Waithman has dined and all like him.
