Edward Wales, St Mary's, Bedford, fellmonger; will dated 7 Nov 1721; to wife Elizabeth Wales - 2 farms at Wilden, purchased of W Brace etc - messuage in Cauldwell Street and the Cherry Orchard, purchased of John Wadenough, now in 7 tenements - another tenement in Cauldwell Street, purchased of John Rogers, now in the occupation of George Wales - house at Pavenham etc; will proved 30 Jan 1721; Elizabeth Matthews, Bedford, wife of James Mathews; to 3 brothers (Robert, John and Thomas Clare) - dwelling house in Butchers Row and house in same street in possession of Philip Benson - Cherry Orchard with the tenements etc purchased by 'my former husband' Edward Wales in St Mary's Parish - house in posssession of Mr Larkinson in St Mary's parish; will dated 16 Mar 1727; will proved 1 May 1738; 'Thomas Clare's will dated 25 Feb 1786; proved 27 Aug 1795 whereby he gave Wilden to his Son Thomas'
