    i) William Watkins, Bedford, merchant, eldest son of William Watkins, merchant, deceased; Thomas Watkins, Bedford, merchant, other son of said William Watkins, deceased ii) Sir William Long, knight, Bedford; Theed Pearse, Bedford, gentleman; has been agreed that the legacies to Mary Watkins and Mary Ann Watkins should remain in hands of William to better enable him to carry on his business now due to Mary Watkins - £450 and annuity; William has purchased Thomas's interest in the estate; Premises put up for sale by auction in lots. Robert Sharp of Bedford, farmer, was purchaser of 2 of the lots and paid £260 as deposit. Bill in Equity has been filed to compel him to complete his purchase, but it has been thought advisable to return his deposit; Has been agreed to vest property in ii) for sale; i) release to ii) - Messuage with wharf and coal yard adjoining in Horn Lane, Bedford - 5 cottages, Horn Lane, once in the occupation of Richard Chambers, Thomas Barns, John Taylor, Buckle Smart, Nathaniel Day and now of widow Veal, Daniel Brown, Wilson Quick, John Mortimer, John Baxter and unoccupied - Close pasture or meadow adjoining on South of said cottages (2 roods 27 peck) Out of proceeds of sale debt of £1800 to be paid to William Butlin and owing to the estate of William Theed, deceased, from estate of William Watkins, deceased, also to purchase annuity of £100 for Mary Watkins, and £10 for Martha Higgs to pay said £450 to Mary Watkins, and legacy to Mary Ann (now M A Balls) any residue to be paid to Betty Watkins, spinster, towards a debt owing to her of £1850; Sigs i) and ii) Endorsed witnesses William Massey, Theed Pearse, junior
