Message reads "Dear Mother I am sending my skirt to get let down as you would see it was too short. Mary would tell you I got a puncture going home. I got it mended but it was not right. I've had two different persons at it since but still it is not right. I've been out harvesting in the afternoons. We started last Thursday & have about two days work yet cutting it all one way. Mary will be going up to Heyden Bridge today likely. Hope it may keep fair for them. Did Tom get away alright. Haven't time for more, Yours Annie"
