- Scope and ContentPhilip Hunt. Dr Hunt visited the Gaol and Old House of Correction in consequence of a report made to him by the surgeon, of the case of Andrew Myers, who had been suffering about three days under diarrhoea, and whi had this morning been attacked by symptoms of malignant or spasmodic cholera. Ordered the Female Debtors ward, now unoccupied and that the four other patients now suffering under diarrhoea be removed to it. Mr Short odrdered two drops of croton oil to be given. The cholera patient is said to be better since the administration of the croton oil which has operated powerfully both as an emetic and as a drastic purge.
