Philip Hunt, George P Livius The convicts, who are now kept in a state of entire separation from each other....seem to be much imprived in their appearance and demeanour. They begged, very earnestly to be allowed to associate with each other during each Sunday. The justices granted the request so far as to permit them to be divided into three portions, on ein each room, during Sunday, but excluding from such privilege any prisoner who may have been insubordinate or disorderly during the week.
