    Philip Hunt, Thomas Barber, Fred H Neve, W Stuart. The keeper reported that everything is going on well since the attempt by the capital convicts to break prison and escape. He has received official information of the sentences of death recorded against [Richard] Hooton [James] Dearing, [John] Atkinson, [Richard] Dillingham, [Daniel] Deacon and [Samuel] Hartwell having been commuted to transportation. Complaint from [John] Atkinson, who stated that Mr Payne, Gaoler at Cambridge, had taken from him a silver hunting watch, a gold chain, two gold seals and two sovereigns and ahalf crown, and has returned him no part of them. Mr Payne also took a watch and money of Ward, a fellow prisoner and that Mr Payne also received nine pounds of their parents for extra provisions during their confinement at Cambridge.
