Every prisoner comitted for trial was informed by the Visiting Justice that the regulations of this Gaol allow any of them to have private and confidential communication with their solicitors and legal advisors, both verbally & by letter, without either Gaoler or Turnkey being present at such interviews, or being permitted to inspect any such correspondence.
