Philip Hunt, Thomas Barber. The Keeper reported the state of Hostler to be worse than usual, his fits are more violent and last longer. The Convicts whose sentences had been commuted from death to transportation had been conveyed by him to Woolwich. An application was made by Mr Matthiason of Bedford for permission to inspect the journals of the Prison, in order to obtain information on certain points on which he thinks it requisite to give some statements in his proposed publication relative to this town and neighbourhood. Permission was granted.
