    Philip Hunt, George Cardale Matron reported that Frances Buckle, a capital convict, perseveres in cursing and swearing, notwithstanding repeated remonstrances made to her of the wickedness of her conduct. The Gaoler is ordered to confine her to the refractory cell if she again offends in a similar way. John Brown, a young prisoner charged with indecently assaulting an old woman was reportd by the Gaoler to have used very bad language to his fellow prisoners - and on examining into the complaint , his conduct was proved to be such as to require his being confined to his sleeping cell for one week.
