Title
Elstow church monument to John Hillersdon. Summary of Latin inscription: Awaiting a joyful resurrection here lies John Hillersdon, knight of the Inner Temple, son of Thomas Hillersdon knight and his wife Elizabeth. Died 15 may 1684 aged 19. Monument placed in his memory by his most sorrowful mother Elizabeth, now the wife of William Becher of Howberry in Bedfordshire, and his brother Thomas Hillersdon. Watercolour by Thomas Fisher.
