    ... a tenement in Bedford St.Paul in the high street between the tenements of the prior of Newename N and of William Underwode S which i) had had of the feoffment of John Kyng by deed dated at Bedford 6 Feb 1447 RECITING Quitclaim by Henry Kyng to William and John Aleyn alias Smith and Robert Couper deceased dated at Bedford 16 April 1457 and Release and Quitclaim by i) Sir John Cornewayle, knight, Sir William Babyngton, knight, John Enderby, Robert Barkby, William Hunt, William Rysley, chaplain to ii) Henry Kyng and his heirs, together with John Woughton and William Steneries clerk whom Henry Kyng outlived Bedford, Wednesday Conversion St.Paul 8 Henry VI 25 Jan 1430 also Grant by i) to ii) of a messuage in Bedford in le Scolestrete between tenement late of John Dowson’ on both sides in the parish of St.Paul, stretching from the way leading to Goldington to the garden of John Fyssher, glover which William and John Aleyn had by the feoffment of Thomas Kemster, and which he had had by the feoffment of Hugh Hasyden, Walter Tumby, clerk, John Woketon, Richard Bydenham and William Stanford dated at Bedford 10 Nov 1422 reciting release and quitclaim by Thomas Adams, and Mariota his wife, late widow and executrix of said Thomas Kemster to William and John Smyth by deed given at Bedford 7 Sep 1452 Witnesses: Philip Dyer, mayor, William Swetnam, Richard Lenton, bailiffs, William Poort, Richard Norton, underbailiffs, Tristram Maleherb, Roger Freman, Thomas Aleyn, Robert Toures Bedford 22 Oct 1479 2 seals
