Letters and notes from former pupils and staff containing memories of school life, for the history of the school which Constance Broadway (former head of history) was preparing. The book was completed after her death by Esther I Buss, and published for the centenary as “The History of the School: 1882 Bedford Girls' Modern School – Dame Alice Harpur School 1982”. Many were sent to Miss Broadway, and others to Mary Wilkinson, another former member of staff. A note indicates that extracts were to be used for the centenary edition of the school magazine, the Ouisage. However, the memories appearing in the Ouisage are from others.
