Sharnbrook

Presumed that the first batch of documents (originally numbered 1-15) were sent to the Bedfordshire County Council muniments between 1904-1928. Some of the cash books (originally numbered 16-20) were received through the Education Department from Messrs Garrard & Allen, solicitors of Olney on the death of Mr Archibald Allen, who had been Cleark to the Board in January 1929. The first 10 documents were originally listed by Dr G H Fowler and the remainder by F Emmison. The listing was very brief and did not conform to modern standards. At a later date all the deeds were removed from this collection to the County Council Estate deeds under reference CCE/SB/35/1-11). In 2024, in order to put the catalogue online the collection was renumbered to produce a useable hierarchy.
