This includes all papers up to 1903 inclusive, except those connected with the tranfer of a school from the school board to the County Council in 1903.

Transferred to Bedfordshire County Council 1903 and to the Archives Service before 1931. The original catalogue was in Dr Fowler's handwriting with later additions and notes by Mr Emmison. At some point, probably in the 1970s or 1980s, all deeds to school properties were removed from SB to the County Council's deeds holdings under the reference CCE/SB. The Archives Service does mot have responsibility for the council deeds holdings and may not be able to provide access to any documents referred to in the catalogue as CCE/SB. Some deeds were also handed over when property changed ownership.
