glad leaving Repton - after Jamie Wilson's death 'I have heard a great deal of the unhealthiness of the place, owing to the channel of the river being diverted, and a great deal of stagnant water and much being left in the old course' pleased Rouse steady at Eton 'where there are so many temptations' account of pupils at Hills getting drunk at a Hotel Mrs Watson very poorly, baby overdue - been twice round the Bowling Green in wheelchair afraid Frederica will have a cold rough crossing (to France)
