  • Scope and Content
    The Ouisage – school magazine published between July 1929 and 2000, “named after the Ouse river but using the old form of the name, discovered by the research of Peggy Watt”. Staff arrivals and departures are recorded. Some news of Old Girls is included until no. 58, July 1972, after which there is a separate annual Old Girls’ Bulletin until no. 72, 1986, when “Grapevine” - news of former pupils - returns. Girls leaving from all forms are listed in the magazine until no. 33, October 1947. There is no list of leavers in no 34 (1948). Some information about sixth form leavers is incorporated in “news of Old Girls” for no. 35, October 1949, and no. 36, October 1950. In no. 37, October 1951, and from no. 43 (July 1957) onwards, there is a separate list of Sixth Form leavers and their future plans. Nos. 38-42 (1952-56) have no list of leavers.
