His kinsman, John Hipwell (died 3 years ago) did sometime before his death absent himself from church, being disgusted with Mr. Bolton, 'on a report that Bolton, after reading prayers in morning, took horse & went to a fair to buy horses.' Bolton did not ask for children to be sent to him till last Easter.
