  • Scope and Content
It seems to be agreed that Bolton, after getting Harrold, had service only once on Sunday in each parish, morning & evening alternate. Both parishes had previously had 2 Sunday services: Sharnbrook from Mr. Tiffin who 'was a bachelor & taught school'; Harrold from Mr. King - the inhabitants subscribed about £12 per annum for him. The single service however was omitted ccasionally by Bolton:- he was at Bow Brickhill 28 Feb. 1713/4; and one Saturday in 1715 he fell from his horse & was carried to Castle Inn, Bletsoe.] (Sharnbrook)
