    Reciting mortgage of 4 June 1845 (a) William Harbett (b) George Duncombe piece of land was demised by William Harbett to George Duncombe to secure repayment of £100. Term - 1000 years By transfer of 5 June 1848 said mortgage was assigned to Edward Handscomb. Amount now payable £100 plus £10 in interest In his will William Harbett devised said property, being piece of land on Toddington to Tebworth road, to his housekeeper, Rebecca Teedon. She died on 30 November 1847 leaving Richard Teedon of Kempston, labourer, her brother, as heir. She had made a will dated 20 July 1840 with a codicil dated 27 August 1840 but no devise was made of said piece of land reciting also deed of 24 July 1850 [Z450/20] £125 is now owing on said mortgage (£100 + £25 interest) now in consideration of £125 paid by direction of Thomas Wright Richards to Edward Handscomb by Joseph Baker Edward Handscomb and Thomas Wright Richards convey to Joseph Baker -- piece new enclosed arable in Upper Field of Toddington, formerly in the occupation of James Ellis, late of William Harbett and now of William George (1 acre 3 roods 35 poles) east and north formerly Abraham Bright west formerly John and James Freeman north Frenchman’s Highway deeds to remain in the custody of Thomas Wright Richards but he will covenant to produce them if required with receipt for £125
