- Scope and Content16 years ago lived at Radwell with father Thomas Barnes tenant to Catherine Rands of Hog Holm; on father’s direction banked Hog Holm on side near Milton commons to prevent cattle coming thereon; had previously chased cows off and made Milton boys remove them; kept father’s horses there. Thomas Millington of Sherrington, Buckinghamshire was tenant to deponant’s father for rushes in watercourse between Hog Holm and Rands’s Holm and on side of Hog Holm next Milton commons for half the stream; cut them without hindrance at which time deponant’s father gave them drink and lodging. Watercourse very narrow when deponent lived there, wider now. John POarrat of Sherrington succeeded Millington as tenant. Reeds rented of deponant’s father by Abraham and Joseph Robinson. Deponant’s father used loppings of willows in Hog Holm. endorsed: William Barnes . . . . since dead. at Town of Bedford
