Letter from the Archbishop of Cashel [Charles Brodrick]. At a Board meeting of the Archbishops of Dublin and Cashel and the Bishops of Meath, Derry, Ossory and Kilmore. The chief subject they discussed was whether to add some of their own cash to the fund for the building of Glebe Houses.

The fund already had £50,000 given by Parliament annually. Decided not to take a decision that day. Suggested the income forms the First Fruits, £450 and the interest from the Borough Compensation Fund, £2,250 be added to the £50,000 from Parliament to give an annual income for this of £52,700. Also whether to give half the cost of the house or to give the whole sum. Thinks advisable to give two-thirds on sums under £500 and only half above that sum.
