- Scope and ContentReceived a letter from Mr. Addington enclosing a letter from William to Mr. Addington about the Bishopric of Kilmore. Points out that he did not write to the Lord Lieutenant about it and quoting his words, “as all recommendations and appointments to offices in Ireland whether of Church or State, by His Majesty’s gracious permission, pass invariably through the Lord Lieutenant.” However from his letter it shows his esteem of the Bishops of Killaloe and Kilmore, and the Lord Lieutenant has recommended Bishop Brodrick for the Archbishopric of Cashel.
