- Scope and ContentHave received “the Powers of Attorney which we transmitted for the 3½ per cent purchased on account of the late Lord MaCartney’s trust and the small-over-purchase of stock to the amount of £47.17.0. money which shall be rectified in the manner you desire”. Mr. Stuart, who delivered the Powers of Attorney, returns in a fortnight to give instructions to Coutts about the £10,000 William is putting at his disposal. “The amount has been remitted by Lord Newcomen and Company in a bill that will become on 16 November. We shall take care to place the dividends on the 3½ per cent in your name to the account of Lady MaCartney and we shall tomorrow make the payment you have ordered of £153.6.7. to Messrs. Martin and Company on discount of the Reverend F. Neve.
