Letter from Sam Knox “I sometime ago informed Mr. Armstrong that Mr. Arthur Hume would become security to Lady MaCartney for any part of Mr. MaCartney’s share of the personal estate of Lord MaCartney that might be advanced to him”. Also gave Mr. Armstrong “a copy of Sergeant Joy’s opinion respecting his rights”. Mr. Armstrong consulting Doctor Radcliff. Mr. MaCartney anxious to know if he can have the money.
