In 1813 lands bearing an extraordinary price, Mrs. Hume let them for one life or 31 years at a rent of £110 per annum. In 1815, the year in which they were advertised, the tenant having complained that in consequence of the fall of land after the war, he could not make the rent out of the farm. Mrs Hume agreed to reduce the rent to £90 which being the rent stated in the advertisement, Mr. Bradish made his calculation accordingly and has agreed to give £1,606. 13.0. being within £4.0.0. of eighteen years purchase. Though the tenant still complains and expects a further reduction in his rent of £10. Fee farm rent of £97.11.4. payable out of Derrybay, Ballygoskin, Tullyuory and part of Corbally County of Down - For this fee farm rent Major Mathews, who is the tenant had agreed to give 22 years purchase, being £2,146.9.4. best (?), these lands being subject in common with other lands to an annuity of £44 payable to Lord Duffrin and to a chief rent of £12 to the Marquis of Downshire. Major Mathews expects that his purchase shall be free from those charges the other lands being infinitely ample to answer them. A Holding in Thomas Street Dublin - This holding was leased from 1 November 1787 for 99 years to George Macquay for £20 per year and joins his sugar house, it contains eleven yards and a half in front and the same breadth in the rear (?), where it is bounded by Crokers Lane. Mr. Macquay has agreed to give £360 for this concern which is 18 years purchase. A House in Winetavern Street Dublin – This concern was let near 100 years ago for lives renewable for ever at the yearly rent of £6 and a pepper corn fine (?) or renewal. Mr. John Flood, who is now possessed of this interest, has proposed to purchase the reversion for £120 being 20 years purchase”.
