- Scope and ContentThe money from the sale is to be invested in more land and the trustees will be held responsible for the purchase. Until land is purchased the money is to be put into real securities. The trustees should not sell the land to Mr. Bradish if they think that they can get a better price for it. “The solicitors for Mr. and Mrs. Hume MacCartney” gave James Armstrong “the particulars relating to the lands to be sold to Mr. Bradish fit to lay before your Lordship to enable you to judge the value and send me what they call particulars of that bargained for by Mr. Bradish with three other conveyances:- Conveyance to Mr. Bradish of Saint Margarets Fields in the liberties of Kilkenny produced now £90 per annum. £1,606. 13. 0. Conveyance to Major Matthews of certain fee farm rents in the county of Down £2,146. 9. 4 Conveyance to George Macquay Esquire of premises in Thomas Street, Dublin. £ 360. 0. 0. Conveyance to John Flood Esquire of a house and premises in Winetavern Street, Dublin producing £6 per annum. £100. 0. 0. These properties had been advertised in Irish papers and those were the highest offers received. “I have got no less than nine levaries against Mr. Bowford marked in all to the amount of £5,575”.
