    Mrs. Hume wants to know when she can get the rents from the Irish estates Lady MacCartney then gives an extract from the Will about what belong to her....“The plate, furniture, china, books, pictures and linnen except such pictures and other things properly belonging to Lady MacCartney and which she may dispose of by her Will. The jewells and what are called 'paraphernalia' belong to Lady MacCartney – the watches, gold boxes, and trinketts found in the drawers are not specifically given, nor has the Testator made any disparition of the residue of her personal estate conceiving he had disposed of all he had. Again, wants his opinion. She also says “having observed no notice was taken about my Lords Estate in Scotland in the Will, Mr. Trogatt made an enquiry and finds that by the Will of the old Mr. MacCartney it is left to Lord MacCartney and his heirs for ever; so it of course belongs to Mrs. Hume”. Has just received Williams letter of the 23rd and is sorry to hear he has had an illness and is pleased he has decided not to come still. The lawyer has come and they have been distributing the wages and legaces . . .
