Letter from Frederick Hervey, Earl of Bristol, written from Padua. 'Our infatuated and desperate Presbyterians have ever conceived tithe to be a grievance.' Writer outlines a plan of his whereby a parson could, with the consent of his bishop and the patron of the living, exchange his tithes for land of equal value, the said lands could be demised at the highest value. Discusses the advantages of his scheme.
