Letter to William Stuart from his brother, John, 1st Marquis of Bute, sent from Cheltenham. - Discusses the raising of children; 'perhaps had other means been practiced with Frederick, his conduct might [have] proved very different.' The writer is inclined to advise the young man to go to Hill Street. ' He talks nonsense in desiring to go immediately to India. The first minister would not command it. The most we can hope is to send him out at Christmas.' - ' He must decidedly renounce all intercourse of every sort with his former companions, whether male or female.'
