Scope and Content
Robert Tyringham was seised in demesne as of fee of a messuage and 12 acres in Hinwick, part of the manor of Hinwick, held of the king in chief by knight service (1/100th kinght’s fee). He died 7 march 1532, when Thomas was 13. An inquisition at Leighton Buzzard 25 October 1532 before the escheator, Nicholas Harding esquire, confirmed this, and valued the property at 6 shillings per annum, and says that 2 shillings per annum was paid to the king.
