Agreement, for a certain sum: (i) Master William Franckleyn of Thurleigh, 'the eldest', clerk, archdeacon of Durham, and late dean of the college of Windsor (ii) nephew William Franckleyn of Thurleigh, yeoman. All his goods, chattels, jewels, gold, money, plate, apparel, and household utensils remaining in the parish of Thurleigh [?and] in Chalfont, Buckinghamshire. William Franckleyn junior shall give his uncle and servants and friends resorting to him sufficient meat, drink and lodging. [Details of funeral arrangements]. Witnesses: Thomas Hewet, John Pentland, William Hewet. Scope and Content
[Details of funeral arrangements] When it shall please God to call Master William from this Vale of Myserye, he shall cause the body to be worshipfully brought and buried in the chancel of Thurleigh parish church, with such solemn funeral as shall be pleasent to Almighty God and agreeable with the estate and degree of Master William Franckleyn; and he shall for 10 years pay £40 to 2 priests, 4 clerks and 2 choristers to say and sing and pray in Thurleigh church in the order appointed by his uncle for his uncle's soul, his uncle's friends' souls, and all Christian souls.
