    1) Eleanor Lucy de Falbe as LHE318, Henry Gerard Leigh (late Captain of H.M.'s 1st Regiment of Life Guards) - (vendors) 2) Luton Water Company (incorporated by Act of Parliament 1865. 28 Vic Cap 29) (Purchasers). Recites Will of John Shaw Leigh etc. recites Agreement of 27 May 1896, Order of Chancery, 6 August 1898. Piece of land at Bailey Hill (1R, 33 1/2p.) Abs N.E. right of way below on a 100 ft. frontage. N.W. other land of 1) agreed to be sold to Jonathan Francis Seymour on a 200 ft frontage. S.W. & S.E. other parts of Luton Hoo Estate (on those sides 100 & 200 ft respectively). With a right of way along strip of land to width of 15 feet leading out of Albert Road extension along N.E. side of piece of land & also over & along Albert Road. Extension & other new Roads & streets laid out by Eleanor Lucy de Falbe etc. & right of Water Company to lay & use water mains & pipes under Roads or Streets but not to imply any right of ownership of soil & in case 1) should make new road in extension of West Hill Rd in a S.E. direction (which they do not bind themselves to do) rights of 2) shall be extended to include road (Water Company will have to pay half cost of forming it % cost of maintenance till taken over by Luton Corporation)SEE PLAN, to be used by 2) for a reservoir & Water Tower for water or other buildings & purposes for which 2) are authorised to acquire lands. Water Tower's design to be approved by 1)'s Surveyor. Covenant by 2) to erect permanent fence within 3 mths. on N.E., S.E. & S.W. sides in a straight line with post & rail fence & within 5 yrs. replace temporary fence with continuous stone or brick wall or close boarded fence without any entrance except entrance gates on N.E. sides. Not less than 5ft high. Consideration £137.16s.3d. paid by 2) into Court, 22 Oct.1898
