- Scope and ContentTo brother in law John Williams of Upper Clapham & John Cook, the elder, of Houghton Regis, farmer. (Trustees for sale) Live and dead stock, growing crops, cattle, Implements in Husbandry and farming effects. Household furniture, with books, plate, linen, glass and other articles be divided between children or discretion of above Trustees (to take into account household furniture given by testator to children Daniel & Jane on their marriages).Son William £800, daughter Ann £800, daughter Harriet £800 when 21 or married with Trustees consent but until then to receive interest.To be invested in Trustees' names as Joint Trustees. Trustees to sell all messuages etc at Houghton Regis get in all debts except £1000 mortgage lent by testator to Edward French of Houghton Regis to remain on mortgage (if repaid then invest in Government stocks) and £670 owed by Son Daniel Eames secured by Bond. Daniel may have use of £670 for 6 yrs, paying interest yearly to Trustees. Any money to which entitled as residuary legatee will have money docked off in part payment of £670.To daughter Jane Hitchman in addit to £300 given at marriage £500. Interest arising from £1000 lent to Edward French to Ann & Harriet so long as single. Sons Daniel & William residuary legatees John Williams & John Cook executors of will and guardian. Able to pay own expenses. Made 22 July 1835. Proved P.C.C. 23 Feb 1837. Attested by Frederick Willis of Leighton, Attorney and George Richardson, his clerk
