- Scope and ContentDenton House. My mother [Elizabeth Welby] has sent some young oak trees to be left at the post office at St. Neots. Should Mr. [Hugh] Wade-Gery have any young walnuts to spare this year, she would feel herself greatly obliged. My two dear sisters have just arrived from the north where they have been at Sir J[ohn] Eden's. Of course [Thomas Augustus] Northmore has informed you of his marriage. My sisters were bridesmaids. The happy pair immediately set off for Beamish [Hall] another house of Sir John's. Northmore could not have made choice of a more amiable young woman. Family news.
