- Scope and ContentBushmead Priory. Hope you received my 2 letters which I wrote on the road. I met your father [William Gery] on the road about 1/2 mile before you turn to Bushmead. All are well, though they haven't heard from Mrs. Monoux yet. Your sisters are as smart as 2 carrots. I left my letter with the ostler at Wansford, who undertook to send it to Newark by the guard. The knee buckles are not here. I am going to walk with your dad. My love to my sister and yourself. [This is not deposited at the Record Office - for information only.)
