    Body (in case die in or near London) to be buried in Vault of Made in Fulham Church Yard wherein late Uncle Richard Brydges lies interred, payment of debts & funeral expenses. Then, to wife Mary . Messuage, dwelling, house, buildings, Court Yards, Orchards, gardens, lands, etc Horse Lane, Ledbury, Herefordshire AND capital Messuage, farms etc called ""The Old Courts"", Bosbury Herefordshire, and also all other lands & tenements in Bosbury, Ledbury premises to be kept, on her death Ledbury & Bosbury property above to:- their children to share and share alike as tenants in common, but if die without issue, then to brother Richard Brydges Esq. and his heirs: Reversion to brother Thomas for life. Reversion to brother Rev. John Brydges for life. Ultimate Reversion to nephew & godson William Brydges, son of brother John. To wife Mary Copyhold Messuage & garden held of Manor of Canbury alias Canonbury, Islington, Middlesex. Reversion to children. Ref to Marriage Settlement, 26 May 1744. Personal estate should be distributed to wife & children acc. to ancient custom of the City of London Anything in late Act of Parliament notwithstanding So: personal estate to be collected in after decease & same be distributed as above. Div into 3. 1/3rd to wife, 1/3rd to children to be put out in Orphans Fund of London or Govt Securities & shares paid at 21 or day of marriage,(dividends to be paid).Recites settlement again - if buys messuages etc. out of personal estate (then wife and children entitled to them as if personal estate (all ancient custom of London) recites he purchased property in - Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire give wife 1.3rd & children 1/3rd (as above) of Herts & Beds property, remaining 1.3rd of real estate in Beds & Herts 'being what if the same had continued personal estate by the Custom of London right by my will have disposed of"".To Mary, wife for life, then to children as Tenants in common and their issue. Reversion to friends and relations, Edmund Brydges of Berkshire, Esq,George Eckersale of Lincoln's Inn Fields Esq & Brother in law, Nicholas Westcombe of Temple, London, Esq (Trustees for Sale),out of which pay niece Elizabeth Jones, eldest daughter of sister, Elizabeth Jones, widow £500 to Elizabeth, wife of Robert Scott £500 (notwithstanding her coverture) - husband not to interfere, to Thomas Brydges, nephew & godson 1 son of brother Thomas £200, residue/after deducting charges) to Richard Emmerton Wotton, nephew (son of brother in law Richard Wotton) remaining 1/3rd of personal estate £50 addit to charity given by will of late grandfather William Brydges Esq to parish of Bosbury, £20 to Trustees of Charity School of St Clements Dane, Middlesex £5 to such poor inhabitants of poor of Colwall, Herefordshire as brother Richard Brydges shall think fit. £5 to such poor inhabitants of Ledbury, Herefordshire, as Vicar shall think fit ,residue to wife & children (their share to be laid out in securities until 21 or marriage) urges friends mentioned above to assist wife to execute will ,bequeaths them £20 each, tuition & guardianship of children to wife Mary, who is executrix, made 28 July 1757,proved London 23 Feb 1762, copy undated [paper mark 1828] prepared by Henderson, 31 Bloomsbury Sq.
